Semi-realism

This semi-realistic burrowing mayfly nymph (family Ephemeridae) was tied by Dave Hise on 7/19/2008. It took roughly 2 1/2 hours to create from start to finish (with some interruptions).

That's more than semi realistic, I'd say somewhere between pretty realistic and real damn realistic.

Seeing that reminds me why I tie and fish impressionistic flies. I reckon the fish can try to figure out what the heck they are supposed to be.

Thanks guys, I'm working on my realism now. I will hopefully have a dobson fly to share soon. It all depends if I screw it up somewhere in the process.
