View Full Version : WoW: Something new!!
I like to surf around every once in a while to look for new ideas for BBQ. At the end of the day, it's pretty hard to find something new and/or novel that you haven't seen before. Well, today I found something new and novel and, I simply have to pass it along. Perhaps some of you currently do this but after watching this video, I know that I'm going to experiment with it.
What is it? Butter!

Yeh, I noticed it too. I want to find out what it is because regular butter will burn.
Also, I went to his website and he has a big typo on his menu. See if you can find it: ;)

Well, I actually talked to "Uncle Pete" via email and he told me exactly what he uses. :D

Sorry for the tease....Uncle Pete used plain old "Country Crock" margarine. I would have to imagine that he buys it by the pallet-full.
I can't imagine this would be a "life-altering" addition to BBQ however; it might just be one more little "tweak" to incorprate into your recipe mix leading to "perfect Q". I'll try it out next time I BBQ and report back to you.

Tim. Loin rbs are baby backs. They are close the loin and alot more tender and meaty than spares. I have done both many , many times, and I still can't figure out why all KCBS events use spares instead of baby backs.

I've read the rub recipes and they sound great , I don't know if you ever tried this or not but I buy McCormic Rotissere Chicken Seasoning at Costco about $6.00 for a 24 oz. jar. I use it on my rib's all the time and they come out great.
