FISHED WAMPLERS THIS PAST WEDNESDAY FOR BASS WITHOUT MUCH SUCCESS. WORKED USUAL MAINLAKE WEEDLINES (4-12FT)USING CRANKBAITS AND TUBES. BASS APPEARED TO BE TURNED OFF. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED POOR FISHING ON WAMPLERS LATELY?

Havn't been to Wamplers since 9/29 I did good out there then also did very good one day during the week before. Caught severel very nice size bass both times. Weather has cooled down quite a bit since then. Did best fishing north shoreline starting at were the launch channel enters the lake all the way around to the A frame then back. Useing chrome rattle trap and rattlin rap keeping the boat out on the breakline and burning the rattle trap over the weeds. Hitting the weed tops once in awhile. Caught a couple nice pike and a couple dink pike too. You could tell if it was pike or bass by the strike. Pike felt like weeds, bass slammed it trying to jerk the rod out of your hand. There was a tournanet out there the 29th almost felt sorry for one guy as he was coming tword me on same brake line I caught two fish in about 4 cast. I don't know when I'll make it out there again but Wamplers has always been a good bass and pike lake for me.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY CATCHEM. LAST WEDNESDAY WAS THE FIRST TIME OUT ON WAMPLERS FOR THE YEAR (USUALLY FISH IT ATLEAST A DOZEN TIMES A YEAR) AND THE MAINLAKE WAS SLOW FOR ME. I DID CATCH SOME NICE BASS IN THE SLOP ON ROUND THOUGH. WAMPLERS HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD TO ME, I'M GLAD IT WAS JUST A SLOW DAY. WHAT SCARED ME WAS A POSTING AT THE RAMP FOR THE LARGEMOUTH VIRUS AND I WAS HOPING THAT WASN'T THE PROBLEM. THE BASS I DID CATCH HAD SOARS ON THEM, DID YOU NOTICE YOUR BASS HAVING SOARS?

Yeh Wamplers can be slow sometimes but most of the time it has been very good to me. I havn't fished it alot this year either. And no I didn't notice soars on the fish I caught.. Doesn't mean they weren't there though I also didn't notice the sign at the launch. Doesn't mean it wasn't there though. The only fish I really looked at very well before release was a 23 incher I even put him in the livewell for a minute to get out my scales for a weight but the battery for the scale was dead. He went back in the lake to catch again. Didn't see any soars on him though. Hope to get at there again but can't say when just started O.T. at work and am busy this weekend.

FISH ON !!!!!!!
