1st pattern using Suzie the Conure feathers

Came up with a cool little wet fly. Caught fish the first time out. Thanks Neil and Suzie, the Conure. I'll keep playing with the feathers.

Yeah, been using wet flies since I was in diapers but I usually tie them with partridge or starling feathers, not Conure feathers. Neil wanted to see some Suzie flies.

What size do you prefer for soft hackles? I just started tieing them up and have only used size 12 hooks.

It depends on the time of year but usually sz.12-16.
