I haven't fished the K zoo in a while.....

Richmond has an free access site, off of 58th take Old Allegan road east.

There is also a launch at schultz park in Douglas, Blue star Highway, Wiley road East, Schultz park North....just before I96. I believe the Shell station in douglas sells the tokens.

-Schultz park
-Hacklander's
-New Richmond
-M89
-Allegan Dam

There is also a very primitive launch in between New Richmond and M89, not sure of the name if it even has one. It's on the south side of the river.

If you arent fishing for any specific species, then go up-stream. Look at a map, go from plainwell up. D ave. is good fishing, more so upstream then down for smallies. Tuff launch however. Downstream from Patterson Park is good once you go about 3 miles. Then anywhere through Comstock is good, and again after morrow pond anywhere from Galesburg and further up is great. This is all small mouth fishing I am talking about, the further towards Galesburg you get the more pike you will start catching. You will pick off a couple walleyes as well through some stretches. I have been fishing the river for over 15 years and have many 100fish plus. days, and these are the areas I would go. Downstream from Allegan it seems to me you get better avg. size but many less fish.

There is a private launch at the house on the east side of the river at D ave., north side of the road. I believe he charges $1.00 to launch.

the d ave launch is listed above. Dont count on it though unless you have a good 4 wheel drive, and its either 2 or 3$ this year, 1 dollar to just park. Better spot to wade then to launch a boat, especially low water in the summer.
