northeast or northwest

Early next week I am planning on going on a short fishing trip. I am deciding between going straight north and fishing the Au Sable from grayling to mio and maybe the upper manistee. Or going northwest and maybee the Little Manistee or the PM. I will be fishing for trout most likely with spinners and small lures. Obviously I wont be able to fish any fly-only areas. Any one have any suggestions which way I should travel?

Your best bet is to go fish where you want to. Alot of people here have different opinions of where to fish. Right now (i could be off) no other place is better then the other. All rivers you mentioned you should beable to get into fish!

If time isn't your friend I'd go to where you know the water the best to maximize time spent.
