Has anyone seen Michigan data that can be compared to the Wisconsin data?

Wisconsin - Questions rise with deer-motorcycle fatalities

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation reports when cars or trucks hit deer, there's about a 2.5 percent chance the driver or passengers will get hurt or killed. When motorcyclists hit deer, their odds of injury or death are about 85 percent.

From 1993 through 2007, 112 people died in collisions with deer on Wisconsin roads, and 77 of them — nearly 70 percent — were motorcyclists.

The numbers are rising. The death toll hit double digits in three of the past four years. Further, in reviewing those 77 deer-motorcycle fatalities of the past 15 years, 46 (60 percent) occurred from 2003 through 2007.
