Hats off to Slick, for letting me board his fine Craft of Star, in search of the elusive Walt. Well, the Walts are still elusive, we ended up catching 1 fish, but marked a ton......They must have LOCKJAW:lol::lol: Thanks alot Brent, 1st time Whipping in about 7 years, Gotta love it.....Very Relaxing.......Maybe next time the fishing will be better......;)

BTW, fish was caught on a Custom "Al Katana" Pencil plug.......

'08 was looking to be a "Super-Star Year" and then came the 3rd week of June and "Knotta"! I'm glad we worked hard for them while the bite was on whipp'in. We did end up producing quite a few limits during that time period. I was just starting to "break-in" my new Cordless Rapalla Electric Fillet Knife too! Now all I've been cutt'in up is those nasty kings and steelies!:xzicon_sm Brotha, You've got to spend sum to get sum!;)

They've slowed down & I've had to work more for them this year than years past, but I managed 7 limits in a row before the slowdown. Got 4 on Sunday night... They were hitting light, & my son lost one reeling it in for me!!:rant:

They are catching limits out of Grindstone trolling mini-discs and crawler harnesses in 30-40 fow. Sag Bay is getting to warm, fish have moved down early.

Handlining #5 and #7 raps, black/gold, black/silvet

Sat night between 4 of us on my boat 11:00pm till sunrise got 15. What a long hard fish, was in river and lake then back again to the lake..tough night.

Sun night 3 of us (met a bud at ramp, he parked next door $3.00)
9:30pm till 2:30am only 5 walleye and one silver stealhead (released).

Mon night only 3 fish.:sad: Tought bite this summer so far, hope it picks up.

Seen sturgeon or muskys jumping every night, even got splashed by one.

With the PH races next weekend, (don;t need no water ballons dropped on me)I will be perchin LSC. The perch reports I have been getting are not real good. Maybe will be somewhere around the St. Clair Lighthouse. I am staying out of Canada until they change the minnow law. Good thing I use my Canadian license for walleyes or else I would not buy one anymore. I will call the numbers listed in Gone Fishings thread, we all should. seeyalater

I bet you guys had a few laughs out there though Mushy!! Hopefully the perch bite on the American side will be a good one this year with the hassle there already starting with the tickets there giving out on the Canadian side!! I can't see many visits over there with the threat of $300.00 fines!!

I got some more reports and only one other guy did well whipping monday night and the rest I talked to had one or none, Hey big daddy how long did you stay after I left sunday? because you must have picked up three more after we left, thats cool..

Well here is my dillema, I am eighter going to have to grind out jigging on the river for 7 hours and do like Bassmad and catch anywhere from 8 to 10 or spend the gas money and hit Saginaw bay where there jumping in the boat:dizzy::lol: my dad has a pole barn up there about 30 miles from the bay.. I made the drive up there with my dad today to check it out and there is plenty of slips avaliable at Sebawing nice little marina, ramp and campground ready to go "BUT" I heard boats are getting broke into:dizzy: or I can keep the boat at my dads pull it to the bay..

Gilly caught a nice 7 1/2lb walleye jigging out there in the river in a pretty short period monday before dark and he did a nice catch and release.. Well wed is a day for smoking some more prime cuts of meat but thursday and friday are going to pull harnesses again in the mornings or evening havent made up my mind yet, one buddy called me and he got 5 monday morning pulling harnesses.. Well all I got to say is what a diffrence jigging in the spring compared to now:dizzy:.. Cya Slick

PS..I forgot to mention I talked to a guy that kept his boat in the marina and he was heading out with his wife and he said he was running 3 to 4 miles out and in the last three days or so had caught around 80 walleye "WOW" I also stoped and talked to the local bait shop owner and he said everyone is getting there limit whitin a hour

Slick, sorry, you have to take the good with the bad......you cant be one of those guys that always Post Limits.......or can ya!!!!:lol::lol:I will let you know how we do tomorrow on the Bay, Im trying to WHORE a ride from one of the Bay guys on my way to Grayling......The Weather should be nice, so we should do well.
