4th of july weekend ???

Can you say "way to many people staying home for vacations"...

Boats out on the water like salmon fisherman at tippy dam....

Same goes for the walls in PH. Couldnt get a spot all weekend until well after 11 or midnight at any decent areas.

Did get out to get a few fish no walters from shore but didn't actually fish for them so I do not feel bad.

Me and the wife and daughters and wifes best friend and her daughter went out and caught a few small fish cats, white perch rock bass etc...

So I never got any calls from anyone so I think that everyone was in a similar boat as me and had to do a little family time. Little fishing time for me.

Any one else get any fish or did the yahoos scare everyone away from fishing??????

Imagine 2 pregenant women and 3 little girls and me with no beer since last Thursday so all weekend I went NUTZZZZ :yikes::yikes:

No beer no fishing , make percha something something ......

Any way cant wait to get out and actually get some fishing time in I need a break....

Only time my boat got wet was when I accidently spilled a water in it yesterday.
I mayed up for your lack of beer. Too many of them make Nascar guy too sleepy to get up and fish!:lol:

I only talked to a few folks that fished seems like it started to pick up just wondered if the traffic made a difference?

Fished the 4th for Walleye on Lake Erie (limited out)
and then had a party that I had to be at

And on Sat. I fished Long Lake for Bass
We caught about 20+ and maybe 10 to 15 were legal

And I feel bad I didn't make it Sunday
Would have gone later in the day after Bass
But I knew all the ramps would be full, and there's way to many kids being pulled around on tubes now days.

we always do kent or stoney on decoration day, the 4th and labor day( stay away from pleasure crowd)..kent on 4th was SLOWWWWWWWWWW , talked to a number of boats and fishermen that were imitating 'pepe le pew':lol:

Fished the pier with my daughter for awhile. Notta. All the action was down here if you weren't slouchin.:evil: Did some recon for later in the season. Didn't realize that she live so close to Oscoda........ 13 mile trip.
Lives 3 blocks from the State Pier in East Tawas..................later in the season it might be a good place to fish. Thinkin white fish late October/early November. neighbors are just full of info.;)
Them retiree's like to jaw some and leak info.:D Sometimes it pays to be around the Geritol crowd.:evil::lol:

Let me know aboth the white fish I have to getthat one under my belt soon it is one that I have been thinking about and just havent gone and fished them yet.

As far as the ice fishing I have been to the perch fest a few times and man that beer tent gets a little fun when the fishing is slow :yikes:..........

Remember dead BOB Unka D that **** was the greatest I had like 50 bucks in tickets left. That was a time I wont soon remeber or forget for sure:evil::evil:

Got to get together and do that again. Maybe less hooch and more fishing would of made the total creel a little better huh?????
