Lake St. Clair 7/5/08

Well tried to get the daughters out of bed yesterday to do some fishing, not happening. LOL. Called a couple of buddies and headed out to the lake at 8 am, launched out of Harley Ensin and procedded to watch smallies feast on the flies just outside of the bouy's. Tried cranks, spinners, worms and just about everything else in the tackle box. Finally put on a Blakemore Road Runner 1/8 oz., kinda hard to do with a bait caster with 10lb mono on it, but cast it out and we started catching fish. Boated 30 smallies with the largest being 21 inches, 20 Large, 20 rock bass, 2 perch, 2 muskie's and 1 sun fish :lol:. It was a great day to be on the water, just all the darn traffic was heck. Buddies had a great time, their first time small mouth fishing so fun was had by all. I was the only lickknob who forgot to put the sun screen on so I am kinda toasted right now. :lol::rant::lol: But it was my fault, so I can't complain.

I was out Sun 7/6 with my son and bro inlaw and the smallies were surfacing all around us. The water was calm as could be and we could not get them to hit anything. I started throwing the top water lures at them and they destroyed them, they would hit the lures and fly right out of the water. What a sight, there is nothing like watching a hog smally smash a top water lure. Awesome morning.

Spent the day at the beach a few years ago and sunscreened everything but the tops of my feet. That was not good! Suprised my corns didn't turn into popcorns

I fished the wall at Metro Sunday, and a sun burn is all I caught.
