Hit the river out of Port Huron last night fished with Percha-Man had a great time, weather was nice just could`nt find that 24 hr. Kroeger:lol: bite was "real" slow and light Mr Percha ended up with 3 eyes and 1 very large sheephead, I got 1 eye very late in the game just so I was`nt completely embarassed. We kept getting these strange ph. calls from some "Joeker" who was home slouching on the couch, drinking gerital and metamusial??? Odd combination but really not that surprising :hide::whistle: Percha I had a great time, I get back in 10 days maybe we can get that "couch-slouch-Joeker" out :lol: Mike

Don't forget to take your geritol......you'd be surprised at the amount of alcohol in it.:D

Percha Man
07-02-2008, 12:31 PM
Ok Ok enough of the ASLEEP stuff. I have been hard at work trying to figure out what to do with all the DOWN TIME and weekends coming up since Chrysler is deciding to take a little R&R and sell off some of the stockpiles of vehicles if possible.

Am very much awake today for some odd reason ( probably the 2 -24 oz AMP energy drinks guzzled down after a little nap.)

Mike I would like to thank YOU again for a great night out was it " kibbing " as you put it . Great conversations wonderful weather and picky picky fish ( Not to mention those strange ringing noises that end up in geritol conversations and roaring laughter... ) Wish I could've put you on more fish than what was we ended up with but as you seen from everyone we talked to it is a little slow. I think it is the high muddy water myself there are tons of fish down there I just think they aren't seeing the bait.

Gonna have to take you out deeper and get you to do some jigging later after you get your fill whipping.

Overall I rate it as a sucess in my book ( kroegers was a little cheaper on Thursday by the way :lol:) Will be available any time.

I hope to be able to meet up with you and Joe some day to help poke his ribs a little and maybe even get a few fish or beers down depending on the circumstance. I know it will seem weird being seen with a baby such as myself but don't worry I can always get out the greay wig and a few biblical war stories :yikes:

Enjoy your weekend up north and have a great time Mike and Joe enjoy that Couch slouch !!:D

Oh yeah by the way all fish on vampire rapalas 18 to 24 ft..

Ps to all the other site members Does any one else hapen to have an 18 ft boat and if so do you also need a freighter sea anchor to keep the boat anchred down. My gods was that a monster just drop it over it hits bottom and tie off with only enough line to reach the cleats..... what was that MIKE my wife call you and say I needed a work out ???:lol::lol:

Tight lines and fish on.....

Joeker51
07-02-2008, 01:01 PM
Man, that was the small anchor...............should see the one he has at home. headed for Tawas this weekend. I smell time off coming very soon..........:16suspect Might have to get off the fishing kick and actually do some work on the addition.:16suspect

Yup, Mike you're right ..............he was sleeping at his desk. I'll pay you later on that bet.;) Wanna be paid in coupons for krogers or fish from the counter.:D

You guys did better than us wall fisherman in PH. I ended up catching 3 gobbies jigging, hooked into a few NICE fish, never seen them though and one broke my jig. Walking was slow, I got two small rock bass and one SMALL walleye, I'm talking 8inch small. All on GULP minnows(smelt color) Wall rods didn't get anything either but sheepshead and suckers for everybody fishing. All in all bad night of fishing but got to fish with Stinger again which was nice and worth the trip. - Bryon

07-02-2008, 01:17 PM
Actually I wasn't slee..........( envision me with my feet up on my desk and eyes rolled back with my boss behind me telling me not to snore now....) ;)

man that anchor even though a little big that puppy really locks in NOW and doesnt take alot to loosen up ....

Joe we almost called you last night after Mike got his fish right before we took off but decided against due to the apparent beauty sleep Mike says you need so desparetly....:lol:

Plus he hadn't completely spilled all the spots that you had told him about ..... Just you wait til you are out and all of a sudden all these crazy people show up to fish .... wait that wouldn't work how would I be able to tell you apart from them????????:lol:

Also that is one clean machine that dude has ain't it it is like a pearl in a sea of **** . I was wiping down any time I dripped a drop of water or FISH SLIME on that bad boy for fear of being tossed in the drink !!!!

ONE HELL OF A NICE BOAT.

One day if I get to retire I am going to have to get me one of those......

Any help on getting me one would be greatly appreciated.... :help::help:

Gripe, Gripe, Gripe, did the anchor hold us to the bottom??? Did any one get a hernia??? next time I`ll bring the piece of railroad track I used to use:yikes::lol::lol::lol:

Percha Man
07-02-2008, 02:03 PM
No that anchor was a drop and stop no drag piece of perfection.
We were set in no time at all and that was well worth the little extra weight. I wouldnt trade it for anything but I might suggest and electric winch one day in the future ( If not I am sure I can be swindled into getting the anchor up for ya everytime.... :D. )so if you ever do got to set up alone you just pull up hit drop and fish and then pull up and hit raise and move on out.

OOh yeah I know it wasn't deer sausage but don't let those hunter sticks go to waste they gonna make nice snacks up north for ya I am sure.;);)

fish whore here and yes I was out on the wall....

I ended up taking the wife and kids out to the black river at a new park and we got 0 for 1.5 hours it sucked so I dropped them off and went behind the city center and casted out some hooks and sinkers with minnows at night and casted multiple lures.

No walleye last night but there were sheephead white perch and daytime guys left with lots of silver bass.

I did manage to get into 2 nice catfish ( which was why we went to the black river ) 1 was 16" and 1 was 28" and I just got them cleaned and bagged for personal use.

We got some kids up today and some friends so we are gonna go to the wall in a bit andf try for the silver bass. Got 7 really huge fat 1 1/2" steaks for tonight before st. clair fireworks and a big bag of walleyes and my last coho for tommorow with some chicken so it is a surf and turf weekend.

Sneaking back to the wall tonight to try for some more action and see if I can get into a few more fish.

Was hoping someone would call and tell me to get my gear but everyone seems to busy or with the slower bite they are on BREAK ?????

By the way there was a 16 year old kid that was at Andersons bait with a 9 lb 8oz. or so walleye that he got in the black river or so he says.. Nice fish though.
