Gone Fishing

Well, work has been crazy, home has been crazy, bought Jr a jet ski that needed work, build a hoist and cradle for jet ski, needless to say I haven't fished in 3 weeks. We finally left the dock today at the crack of 3 PM for a few hours on the lake. Headed to the Canadian side by the Belle in search of some Skis and hit our 1st fish within 5 minutes after setting lines. Action was more than I hoped for with 6 fish in 2 1/2 hours before the 2 double header fire drill caused a planer board line in the prop and a few other problems before we called it a short trip. Yes, I still love my wife that was driving the boat. Here's a few pics of the fish:

Great trip. Thanks for sharing the photos. That last photo is great. Got little bit rougher about 6 last night out there around the Belle. We tried for some perch without much luck. The river saved us to end the night with a few walters.

Board Rod's?
What was the weight and distance on the rods?
Water depth?
Lure type and color?
If you don't mind.
Thanks

We got lucky and landed on those fish and worked a tight area right in front of the Belle River water tower in approx 15 fow. Everything came on 6" Loke baits. 2 fish on St Lawrence, 1 on 9$ Bass, 1 on Blue Frog and 2 on a bait that looks similar to a 9$ but has brown vertical stripes. We ran 6 rods, all off boards. With the clean fairly calm water, I don't normally have much luck on boat rods so we never even tried them. The left side we set at 35 back with 2, 3 and 4 onces. The right side we set back between 45 and 50 with the sames weights as the left side. We started off running a few different makes of lures but when the Lokes started going I switched everything to those. All fish came between 3:30 and 6:00. For speed, I was keeping it right about 4.2 mph on gps. Good luck!

Where are all the Perch you have been catching John??? We stopped at a few hot spots and couldnt get them going. Unless the Graph was lying, we had fish under us the whole time......Damn Fish Flies.......
Thanks alot Ted, for the wonderful RIDE, nothing like Going 50mph in a Ranger in a foot chop....Say no more......"Where does he get all those wonderful Toys" Jack N.

Nice work John!!! Man, that sure is a kick in the pants to see you got 6 fish in such short time when we were in that area for 4.5 hours and didn't even get a rip!! All the better, we got back to the marina and I discovered a nail in my tire! Yee Ha!
Thanks for the info and congrats on a good day....if maybe a short one!
