Launching out of Crocker about 5:45 am. Might try for walleyes first then on to some smallmouths for fun.

I'm taking my future son-in law out for smallies tomorrow. I hope to go out of the 9 Mile ramp unless someone knows otherwise. (I'm coming from Ohio but they've always taken my money before, sometimes commenting on my OH plates.)

My plan is to start along the sand bar and then try deeper if not successful there. I have a Clown x-rap, a sparkly medium crank, drop shot rig, firetiger rattle trap, and we'll be dragging minnows on ultralights. I'll have tubes, senkos, spinnerbaits, etc. ready if needed!

Any suggestions to tailor our plan or change it would be welcome especially about the ramp at 9 Mile (Sterling Shores I believe).

Mike how was the fishing yesterday? Just like my OH comrad I to will be traveling up from 7/11 - 7/13 for some smallies and also wouldn't mind some eyes. Let me know how 9 mile has been doing and if they are still taking OH money to launch boats. Are there any ramps farther south than 9 mile?

Yup, there is walleyes out in 14' of water. lots of bass to be caught too. Beautiful morning out there.
