looking for perch

Hello everyone!,
This is my first post! I live near the St.clair river in E.China and keep my boat on the pine river. Don't have a problem catching the eyes but have not found a spot for the perch. any suggestions?

well, as a pike fisherman, i should know where my fishes' main source of food is... but i dont really know any spots for perch. i dont catch any in really deep water. try by weed beds in maybe 8-12 feet of water. i dont know where to go in the river though. welcome to the site! :)
