Hi all,
I never posted on this forum before. I mainly fish for LM Bass on smaller inland lakes and ponds. My buddie just bought a boat and wants to take my 11 yr old and me out fishing with his two young boys this week. He doesn't know a thing about fishing, and I have never fished a big lake. He is docked near Metrobeach and I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion where we can fish near there just to get the kids on some pan fish or bass... I was thinking craweler harnesses for the boys... Any suggestions would be apprecieated.

Paul

It is just a short run across to Grass Island. You can jig the channel there and if you get lucky, pick up a few walleye. You can move into the shallows and probably find the gills on their beds, or fish the weed beds at the drop offs and get smallies, pike, and musky.
There was also a report here yesterday about someone out a mile or two in front of the beach picking up some walleye as well.
