Fished SM last week for walleyes, bass, pike, muskies and panfish. As usual the muskies eluded us but what a beautiful lake to be chucking the big baits. Walleyes were tuff but as a group we managed about 15 legals and 20 some shorts. Largemouth and pike were/could be caught at will but I think they should lift the size limit on the pike out of about 200 fish caught last week we got about 10 legals. Highlight of the trip was finding the sunnies in the shallows. We had the opportunity to get the young guys onto some of the good fighting pumpkinseeds and giant rock bass. Overall it was a great trip, great weather, great food and great fishing.
