Like I mentioned in the "she's full" thread. I had the day off today, and decided to smoke a few fatties after I got my yardwork done.

So I twisted up a few(5) and filled them with 1. Pizza sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, and mozza cheese, 2. pepperoni and cheese 3. mushrooms and pepper cheese. 4. vermont cheddar and bacon, 5 pepper cheese and monteray jack. all were wrapped with bacon. I did the drummies in a couple different rubs, and a nice big batch of smoked baked beans.

and a couple hrs later here is the results.
Chicken...............................

I don't usually drink that, but the wife uses it for her world famous "jello shots". I have on occasion used the "citrus" along with some lemonade to replace my electrolites!

The other day I made a whopper.. A pizza fatty that weighs 4lbs. it holds sauce, cheese, onions, pepperonis, mushrooms and olives. I'll have to build an arc to place it in so it doesn't bust. didn't think to snap a pic of it before I rolled it up.

The wife and kids got into the act as well with her making two more today. One and apple stuffing/apple slice fatty

What fancy weaving of the Bacon ! I have to remember that!

Compliments of another site and my wifes patient hands...

Years ago I worked at the LA County Jail when they were doing an expansion. We had many modifications to do in the kitchen of the old jail as well. They used to stuff a guys dinner all mixed up and formed into a roll and called it a juteball... It was a form of punishment. Now I'm making them for myself but calling them fattys...

Hey Dan,

How about giving all of us a tutorial on that bacon weave? That looks really kool!

DangerDan

I got the idea from another site as I say but the wife did the weaving. I told her I think she learned it on "vacation" at the looney bin..

She laid the bacon out as you would normally but folded every other slice upward from the middle up.

Then she laid the horizontal slices down. After that she laid the vertical pieces back in thier normal position and then alternated the other pieces folded up in the same fashion. She said it's just like weaving a basket (hence my ribbing).

She continued this assembly of the bacon until she reached the end of the vertical slices the repeated the whole process from the middle up again and finally laid the fatty down & rolled her on up.

See there? Longaberger is good for something more than just starting your charcoal afterall.....:evilsmile
