I'm going to be camping in Tawas during the beginning of july. I was hoping to get anyone's input on good places to fish near tawas or oscoda. I do not have a boat. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Try Tawas State Dock, or the mouth of the AuSable at Oscoda.

You would have alot better chances if you had a boat but since you don't...

Try the mouth of the AuSable in Oscoda. You should be able to fish anywhere from the DNR boatlaunch to the end of the pier. Try minnows or leaches as a live bait or throw some Rapalas into the channel.

What are you looking to fish for ?

There many places to fish in area . Besides the 2 area's already mentioned here is some off the top of my head , the mouth of the Tawas River . There are many spots to fish along the lower Au Sable River from Foote Dam to the mouth , Foote pond , Cooke Pond , singing bridge .
