I heard somewhere that Michigan might be including the unrestricted use of crossbows during the regular archery season.
If I remember where I saw it, I'll post the link.
Anybody else read about about this ?
What does everybody here think ?

What for they wanna put crossbows inside the archery season??? EVERYONE knows they're guns daggummit!
Don't really matter though, guns/bows/crossbow they's all for lazy hunters - I'm a gonna petition the DNR/NRC for a spear only season with a 9' length limit. Sorry TH, atlatls would be illegal - too much mechanical advantage.

Tom not sure where you had posted this, seen that it is now in the crossbow section. As you know I am for the new rule change, and still can not figure out why everyone is fighting the issue. 85% of hunting in Michigan is done on private land, so if you do not want crossbows than don't allow them on your land, seem to be an easy fix to the problem. Can't wait to post my first crossbow turkey on the site next year. Makesw no sence to me to not allow them allready during turkey season we can use bow or gun allready but not the crossbow:dizzy:.

Crossbow are making their way into archery cause the someone paid someone money under the table. Hunting will die and the sun won't shine and the rivers and lakes will all dry up. Gas will be 100$ a gallon and the life on this planet will refuse to exist.:yikes:
yea hunting season will be shortend and bag limts reduced and something to do with the ozone layer too but not real sure:yikes: Better buy a crossbow now before the demand is too high and they become hard to find.......m:lol:

Yeah, we already know bow hunting is growing at an unmaintainable rate and there are way too many hunters in the woods now in October anyway. People are moving to Michigan in droves to take advantage of our very permissive laws. MBH must be opposed because they can't keep up with the growth in the membership. Soon they may even represent a full one percent of bow hunters in the state. :dizzy:
