Ok we have the bill pass the house and need to get this on the floor in the senate. You ask how can I get this done? Please contact your senator and let him/her know that you want this bill to be put on the floor for a vot in the very near future, and let them know of your support for this bill. If we all get a move on this the senate will have to look at it this year, if we just wait for them to take a look at it we can be waiting for another year or so. We voted for them to do what we want. They are the voice for us, so be heard and let them know it is time for them to listen to us and be our voice. with the correct action we can get this bill to the govenor and pass into law before another season passes us by.
PLEASE DO NOT DEBATE THE ISSUE OF CROSSBOWS ON THIS THREAD. THIS IS JUST TO HAVE YOU INFORM YOUR SENATOR OF YOUR WISHES.

Dear Senator:
My name is Daniel Mark Zapolski and I would like to take a couple of minutes of your time. Having watched HB 5741 H-2 for some time now and seeing it pass 94-14-2 in the house on 6/19/2008. I would like to ask you for your total support in the Senate on passage of this bill. This bill is a win win for Michigan and its sportswomen and sportsmen. The state would receive funds through the Pittman Robertson act, the D.N.R. would get badly needed revenue through license sales, which would only help in this failing economy. Also I might add the fact that we would retain some of the older bow hunters who no longer can pull a bow and enjoy deer hunting anymore. We also would recruit new young women and men into the outdoors sport of hunting that cannot or would not be able to pull a bow with sufficient poundage to hunt whitetail deer properly. Last but not least in any manner of thinking, all the disabled people of one degree or another will now be able to partake in the outdoors hunting on an equal basis.
I also might add that I have no dog in this fight so to speak, as I already have a lifetime crossbow permit (z142135585594) from a work related injury.
In closing I would implore you to seek passage of HB5741 H-2 with all resolve.
Thank you for your time Senator

That is your option to do so and not support this bill. I am sorry that you feel this way, and would like to have some of your time one day to talk with you in person and see why you so strongly feel this way. i will not push my view on you and I wish for the same. Years ago I was also against crossbows, but have sat and listen to people, did research, and went out and shot a crossbow, due to this my mind has change. yours may not, but i still would like to be able to speak to all the hunters that say no to this bill.
