Got a few nice gills the last couple days near Sandy Beach on slip bobbers with waxworms and crawlers close to shore .Looked like a mayfly hatch took place last night,so I was happy catching a few more today

What kind of fish are there in hardy pond? Are there Walleye? Where do you catch them?

There are some pike, nice smallmouths, walleye, & perch. We used to do well around b/n the Parkers Landing, Big Bend Park area on walleye using crawlers or leeches (alone or with jigs) on the bottom. One of the better spots we fished was the dropoffs near the Consumers Energy land off of the Beech St area. But sometimes the walleye ran small, but still fun. Seen some very big smallies come from here.

I believe it was in the 12-18 foot range. Many times, depending on the area and the drop-off, it was at that "magic 13" feet. Sometimes, it was hard to catch a "keeper" with many of the fish being 13-14". The best spot for us that was fairly consistant was mentioned below.

On that particular day, we were fishing near the bridge near the causeway in Little Muskegon Pond, and the leeches were getting all of the hits, nothing on crawlers. Others were using minnows.
The other response was referring to Hardy Pond in the area near Beech St not far from Big Bend park.
