Some people say, you know it's just a fishing trip. Even though I'm not going up north until July 12, I can't wait until I go. I mean just being on a lake isolated from the big town area is as good as it gets. Just the excitement of going gets me all revved up. It's not just a fishing trip, it's a way to get out on the water.

There's no such thing as "just a fishing trip" for those that know. I hope you have a great time. Anticipation is half the fun.

"Just a fishing Trip".....had to chuckle.
Last year I spend 7 months planning our trip to Alaska. Thought about it and did some work on it everyday.
This year it's Wyoming in August..........work on it and think about it every day.
When we get back I will start again on Alaska for next year.
I think it's the worst addiction ever. I fully understand isolated from the City.
Part of last years trip to Alaska involved a 12 mile jaunt through the Alaskan Wilderness. Wyoming involves a 7 day, 20 mile trek throught Wind River Wilderness Area. Alaska next year involves a 4 day jaunt through the wilderness.
Theres just something about standing on a river or lake miles and miles from anything, not hearing civilization, no lights on the horizon, just out there.:)
Enjoy your trip and never stop expaning your horizons.

I'm going to Hamlin Lake in Ludington and I've been there ever since I was young. I love the lake and the beach there. The only contacts of real city life is the town which is somewhat far away. I love when I'm there but I hate when I leave.

Even a bad day of fishin beats just about doing anything else. I don't even care if I don't catch anything---fishin is the therapy---catchin is just a bonus.

Oh I know. Even just sitting on the grass on the break wall, watching the sunset, is unbelievable. I mean even if your sittin there, just was a bobber and hook in the water catching blue gill is more fun then sitting in the city. I just love it up north. You get away from all the city life and enjoy some peace and quiet.
