I bought a pair of Lowrance 520c's thru Cabelas recently. In their listing of these in their catalog, they profess the units' ability to comunicate from one to another thru this Ethernet cable, which was included. A fisherman in the front could view the return from the transom mounted transducer. What was not mentioned was there is this nice little box for an additional $150 that this cable hooks up to. Is there anyone out there that has this setup that can tell me if this box is really needed? It would be appriciated, thanks.
