I have 15 HP 4 stroke Merc and I was wondering if I should fog the motor before I store it away for the winter like you would do with a 2 stroke?
I certainly would, but check your owners manual for the specifics.

I agree. It cant hurt. I do my main engine as well as my Merc 15 four stroke, as well as my lawn mower, tractor, edger, weedwacker, etc. Any engine I own gets fogged.

What do you mean by fog an engine?

I think anything you do to coat the engine to prevent rust is good. I personally use 2 cycle oil out of the jug. I start the motor, rev to 2000 rpm and pour a little in at a time until it starts smoking good and then I back off on the throttle so it stalls. In the spring I change plugs and fire it up.
