View Full Version : Need a Honda Prop recommendation

I have a Honda 25 hp 4 stroke that just doesn't seem to be giving me the power I need to get up on plane and it doesn't feel like I'm getting all the top end I should be based on the sound of the engine. It sounds like it could go several hundred rpm's faster.

If I remember correctly the prop on there now is a 9.5 x 12. Would I be better off with a 9 7/8 x 10? I much rather try out a different prop first rather than spend $6,000 for a new 40 horse.

Oh yes, by the way, does anyone know where I can order the prop I need? The only place I found online is through iboats. Allen Boats said they could order a prop for me but I thought approx $120 was a little steep.

Thanks guys. Man I love this site.

I ordered a prop from the iBoats website.

9 7/8 x 10 pitch. I hope it works. At least I'll have a spare prop.
