We set up the dekes and they started talking!!! We heard about 8 birds fly down and a hen came right out to the dekes. The birds never shut up, they were answering every thing I threw at them!! After watching 5 jakes and several hens come in range and go, I told him a jake in the pot is better than not!! Then 2 more jakes came to check out the hot hens,(me), and after watching them for about 20 min. I did an alarm put, one walked on and the other stuck his head up and a load of #5s took him out!!
It weighed 15#s had a 5" beard.
Our ears are still ringing with gobbles!!! :D
