The insulating foam on the inside of my cowling is crap....I ripped it all out before I start suckin it down the carb.
I was wondering if I can put 4 or 5 coats of undercoating on it and call it a day....
or do the put foam in there for a reason?

I think it's main purpose is as a sound deadner.

Thanks....Ill check into it.
Stupid thing is louder than hell without the cowling on...Id imagine the foam helps quite a bit. Ill run it next week and see if its tolerable...

Foam is used for sound deadening.
