Well all the time that I had to hunt was spent this last weekend. And that could go wrong did. First of all I ended up leaving my home in Detroit about ten o'clock on my way to my cabin 45 minutes south of Ludington. I arrived at my cabin around 2:00 am. I proceeded to set my alarm for 4:00 am. I hunting spot was still about an hour away. For some reason my alarm didn't go off until around 4:50am. I hurried to get my thing together and be on my way. I finally get into my spot around 6:30am. I proceeded to make a few clucks on my call only to have the response of a deer giving away my position. So I laid the calls down for awhile. As the morning turned into afternoon I heard a few gobbles, but my fun ended when I realized that ticks had swarmed me. So cigarette lighter in hand I burned ticks as walked back to my car and called it quits for the day. What luck I have. Not to mention it was hotter than hell out there. All in all I had bad time but it was nice to at least see two birds both hens, and see some deer. But next year I hope that things go better. Sorry to babble, but misery loves company so I thought I would tell you.
