Kayak Question

Just bought a new kayak and i was wondering what i need to have on board to be legal. Do i need to register with the state? How about a life jacket? Does it have to be warn at all times? Any Help would be great, Thanks.

you need a personal flotation device. a seat cusion will work. though because of the nature of canoes,kayaks, and small boats i would recoment wearing at least a ski vest. i bet you dollars to donuts some axxhole is going to come flying past in a big powerboat at some point and put you in the water. just the nature of some of the beavis types out on the water.

You don't need to register it unless you plan to put a trolling motor on it :D.
