Seems the SCR and the D have a great night fishery....seems erie is an early am bite....I know I fall into that mentality too...
Anybody ever fish erie after sundown? Thinking about running body baits off boards some evening.....soon.... Is it worth while or should I stoke the fire and have another beer?

Shoot me a PM if ud like...

My Dad and I used to fish it at night all of the time when I was much younger. We actually used to troll a little after dark and in the middle of the night we would drift fish. We actually caught quite a few at night. It's better fishing when the moons out though. Just so you know after dark when you shut the motor off it get's Erie out there though:p:lol::tdo12:. Nice and relaxing though on a good night.

I'll give a report when I return later today

I fished three times after 6:00 PM last year and limited out with 10 fish each time

Calm'er water that works better for my kids and the wife

BB and Crawler harness worked the best 10% were caught on dipsies with a 3 ft leader and then a spoon

I've fished Erie at night many times , I have had more good nights then bad . In the fall it's a blast big ole hogs close to shore .

We used to drift big flatfish tipped with a half of a crawler off of Sterling, and do real good on a larger then average sized fish.

I figured the steady wide slow wobble, coupled with the scent of the meat would do the trick, and a lot of times it did.

I also used to cast Stoney point real shallow, but never really figured that one out, picking up just a few fish for the time put in.
