Remmi
I have not got a chance to fish Burt yet this year. Have talked to some who have.
Some are having some success off of Greenmans Point. Between the north shore and White Goose Bay. The eyes have moved into a little deeper water. As there is really no place that is high or low in the lake, trolling with bottom bouncers with harness is working. Not a lot of eyes, but enough to keep you interested.
I will be on the lake on Sunday. Maybe, if the weather holds, I will have a better report.
I know that during the week, you have to look to find a boat on Burt Lake or Mullett Lake. Gas prices seem to be keeping people at home.
Good Fishing

Just got back from a week at Burt. Fishing was real slow. Fished mostly the north side shore of Colonial Point - from around the point (Maple Bay side) to Hardwood road. Used planer boards-inline weights-harnesses, and bottom bouncers down the middle. The fish we did catch where random with 19' to 24' being best. We were marking lots of fish (and I do mean lots) with the fish starting to suspend once you get out to 28/30 fow. About half the fish were empty and the other have were FULL of nymphs. We caught a 22" rainbow Friday that had 21 June bugs in its stomach. Didn't explore the other areas too much as the 8 to 10 other boats we talked to where fishing the northeast - northwest bays, Greenland point (Hoppy's)? with less or the same results. Even when we getting bites on the bottom bouncers and giving as much line as I could stand, feeling a heavy second pull, I still came up empty "with the crawler." The board bites were getting the same indications with the flag bouncing and a low hook up rate (didn't matter if it was a single or double hook harness). Hope that helps you out some!
