Look @ Cabelas web site for 'RAM Mounts' - you can get them for a lot of other places and then you mount a 'ball joint' and the rest of the stuff sits atop that.
You should have been more model specific though.

bOY Thats a tough one there..They should be secured with screws bolts etc......WoMaN lol..tell her the only way is to use glue or some type of adhesive...and that could be messy and not last<fall of and break and then u would have to get a new one:D Good Luck dude Mark

I recommend you put some vegetable oil on the cup so it's LESS likely to lose it's suction......and don't store it stuck on , or you'll be replacing it sooner.
I'd NEVER trust my $700-$1000 electronics to a suction cup (or allow my Wife the last word) - but that's just me!!!

G'Luck.

I wouldn't bother mounting it on her boat anyways, I don't think she'll ever let you borrow it to take it out fishing....

Truthfully though make up some sort of tether to keep the graph from hitting the deck if and when the suction cups fail.

:yikes:
It's NOT IF but WHEN.

I guess after it falls & breaks , you can say "I told you so" (Dear) ......

And let's face it... it's a pontoon boat! It's not like you're going to be clipping over the waves at 60+ mph and shaking your fillings loose! :D

So with a full sized boat???? why did you go with the 522, internal antenna, and How well does it recieve, I have a smallish boat, so I figured the LMS522 was the way to go for me, mostly cause I wouldent have a place to mount the reciever, you have a 17 footer?
The 522 is 12 channel, Ive seen units with 16 channel recievers??? Can this be a problem??

I have an Lowrance X47tx to go with the LMS522, Havent got it yet tho! I was only wondering about the 12 vs. 16 channel reciever, now I have an ifinder hunt handheld also, it is 16 channel and recieves just fine even in the truck. That being said, I suppose the reception of the 522 will be fine especially out on the open water, but I would had went with the external reciever if I had a decent place to mount it!???

Carl, I have yet to loose signal with my 522... BUT, I have it on a ram mount up front so a) I can see it better and b) get it over the gunwhale and any chance of interferance with the trolling motor or anything else up front that might block the signal.

I also like it because I can actually see the map from the drivers seat!! No more need to have my handheld on the dash.
