Mackinaw City Fishing Pier Tips

I will be in this area so i was wondering if this pier is any good if it is what would you use and for what species? Also any info on the Wilderness State Park (Lake Michigan) also in the same area.

Never fished the pier before but I have heard of perch being caught there. You might want to fish the shallows out by the park used to be real good for smallies wading.
