First time out this year, weather finally cooperated with sun, warmth and
not much wind....Big decision, go north or south....went North, worked
the mile roads from 7ft to 12ft zig zaged from 11 mile to metro and caught
about 25 large bass all in 7 to 8 feet of water all in close to the boat...tells
me the fish were suspended high...like the graph said...and they were feeding
we cuaght sun fish, bass and very large silver bass..and finally about a 6lb
sheepie by metro....NO WALLEYE...gonna have to look at a picture to remember what they look like....all the fish hit on gold with a orange dot
harness with worms....had fun fishin...but nothin to take home....
Friend of mine reported it slow to the South, nothin showin up at the delpnine
yet....the water is very cold 59 to 61 degrees....we need rain and warmth
to change things...I don't care if the lillacs are bloomin...we still need a change
Next time I'm headed south to the mouth of the D. River.....
