Launched just after 8pm from City of St Clair marina, ran up by CAN 54 and before the sun was totally gone we had 8 in the boat and missed a few, those fish came in 30 fow. Once sun was gone that area died so we ran down a little shallower, than once the last light from the sun was gone, we got our last 4 in like 10 minutes in about 20 fow. All fish hit hard, i mean really hard, the small eaters hit and felt like a 5+ lber for the first few seconds. First few fish were 3-4 lbers than we got a bunch of less than 20 inchers, than a few more 3 lbers and we got one hog that was at least 6 lbs. back to launch by 11pm. The few whippers we talked to only had a few, the whipping bite is just not as hot as it is suppose to be this time of year. There were drifters in the area when we got there, and hope they had some cause when we showed up they were watching us pull in fish after fish and we did not notice any of those boats catching. Water was still pretty clean in that area and the hot color was standard blue and silver rapala and a blue and silver holigraphic (rapala like) kamakazee, even got the last 2 on a cup nose Kamakazee blue and silver once i put it on.
