Anyone in the Lake St. Clair area seen any spawning activity? I'm guessing the water temps are still too cold but it shouldn't be long. Too expensive to just drive around now a days.

The carp were spawning a few days ago when it was warm! The kids were having a field day in front but the next day it turned cold and they shut off. I would believe if it warms again they will spawn! Ya got to wait for the warmth!

Haven't seen any activity in my canal yet. Water temp is 64. It's still 56 in the lake and 53 where the channels are feeding it.

They are definitely boiling in St Johns Marsh. I could see them from the road Monday, was pretty cool as a passed by a bow hunter, about 100 yards down they were all over the place so I am sure he had a field day when he got to them.

Thanks to all that offered information. St Johns Marsh this afternoon. There were a few pods of spawning fish just down from the colony tower. A very generous business owner allowed me to park in his facility. There are classy people in this world still! Anyway the wind was strong blowing across the open water making visability poor at best. Ended up with one small female around 5-7#. Missed about 8 shots. Will have my waders next time. I think the peak is about 1-2 weeks late due to this stupid weather. Go get em!!!! BTW aLWAYS take your fish with you. There were 4 or 5 that were left to rot on the banks. Poor form by whom ever the culprits are....

Brandenberg area - the carp are THICK in there right now, and Saturday was the first time this year for them to be in the shallows. They are right up near shore to a 100 yards out.
