jumping sturgeon

Man, the sturgeon were hopping last night! I had a big fish come right out of the water 5 feet in frt of me . Saw a giant jumping every half hour or so.
Managed to get two walleyes jigging. 20 and 22 inches. Misses at least as many! beautiful night on the water! hardly any wind.
26th anniversary today and I graduate on Sat with my Bachelors degree after 9 years of classes (part time) Celebration party Sat night so Sunday is looking like my next trip out.

That's cool. When I was sturgeon fishing a few years back they were jumping all over and that was in August.

last year, one almost jumped into the boat as my dad motored up the river. thankfully he slowed down enough that the fish landed in front of me :yikes:
all i got was a splash, which is a lot better than a big sturgeon in my lap :)

Yep...we've been seeing them jump for a couple of weeks now, and have been seeing a few on the camera.
