Fished Algonac from 5pm until dusk....Skunked! Water was pretty stained compared to the clarity we've had this year.
Started out in a spot we've been doing fairly well in this year. Got nothing on 3 passes so I made the run up to Cherry Beach, and trolled from Cherry Beach all the way down to Big River. Nothing. Went back to the place I started and fished until 9pm...Nothing.
It was a peaceful night on the river though, no wind and the sun was shining so I won't complain.

Sorry to hear you were able to get anything. Seams to me this years walleye season has been slow at best from everybody I've talked to, would you say that's the case? - Bryon

So far for sure its been slower. The river is just now warming up, 52-53 deg tonight so hopefully that will turn on the bite.

Anyone hitting the Deckers area at all? Seems MC is shut right down pretty much down to Algonac. I thought I would try Deckers or maybe the Canook side tonight

We had similar results last night. Did manage one fish. Seems like the whippers and wire liners were doing ok.

2 fish for Old Blue and Jim Dandy whipping last night:sad: Jim Dandy got both. Old Blue was skunked for first time this year. Blue & Chrome both fish before dark. 53 F water and very cloudy.

Saturday morning (the 24th) I got my limit up in St. Clair. Trolling BB @ 3.5MPH. From the two groups I talked to at the launch, I seemed to do the best. Tight Lines!
Think I'll try Metro in an hour.

Fished from 8pm to 11pm. Water was stained something awful! Caught 2 silver bass, 2 walleye 22in and 19in and one King Salmon 12 lbs! Walleye 1 caught on crawler harness, everything else caught whipping and it was actually my buddy that caught all the fish i was skunked! Next time I hope for the gin clear waters to get my limit--I think there are plenty of eyes just stained water made it impossible for them to see. All fish caught before dark.
