For anyone interested a friend and I caught 18 bull bluegills from 8" to 10" and 15 nice crappie from 10" to 141/2" using minnows with slip sikers in 8 to 12 feet of water. Caught alot of smaller ones to keep busy all day on saturday the 21st. Lots of undersized pike also. Good fishin!
How bad are the weeds up there? Thinking of fishing there next weekend. Any word on the walleyes?
Thanks,
Chad

My boss slayed big bluegills and perch there last week using a crappie rig with worms. Didn't catch any crappies, though! Guess you need to use minnows for those.
Weeds are practically non-existent due to the milfoil they killed off this year. This seems to be THE lake to fish this year.

The weed problem has been solved.Last year it was almost unfishable but since they treated the lake to kill some of the weeds its been outstanding. I was invited by a buddy who has a pontoon at a marina during season, and he averaged 2-3 walleyes a trip all summer. All he uses are minnows for everything. The last two weekends that I went with him we did'nt catch any walleyes. I cant wait for the ice fishin up there, without the weeds it should be outsfanding! Good fishin!
I think I will bring the boat and the shotgun there this Friday.
