How do you guy's charge your 24 volt system? I have been doing them one at a time...disconect the wires....hook up the charger on one battery and then do it all over again.....sucks.....gota be a better way,but I don't want to spend the bucks on the 24volt chargers that I have seen. There has to be a cheaper better way than I have found.

Onboard charger. Only have to buy it once. Puts an end to the constant battery charger nightmare. Got one new in box, let me know if interested. $100

as long as you hook +/- of the charger to the terminals of the same battery, you can charge the battery while still connected to the 24v circuit. so the cheapest way would be to just get a charger with alligator clips and clip to one battery at a time.

easiest, most convenient way is to get a 2 bank onboard charger... 1 bank on each battery. Dual-pro makes an outstanding product, i use a 3 bank to charge a 36v system.

sounds like I need to get one more on board charger. The one I have now is charging the motor batery and the radio/ electronics batery. I didn't know you could leave them hooked up and still charge......Have I got that right? Two 12volts wired to produce 24 volts and still charge using the 12volt post with a 12 volt charger........

if you buy a onboard charger which I recomend big time, get a three bank one dont be dumb like me and get only two banker:dizzy: three bank can handle your 24 volt for your bowmount and one for the cranking battery for the big motor..Cya Slick

Sounds good Slick, but I have 4 batteries so it looks like I need one more 2 bank charger. At some point, weight is a factor....You know...main motor, kicker, gear, coolers, live wells, outriggers, downriggers, anchor and the song goes on but it's fun to worry about this kind of stuff!! Thanks for the help guy's. Looks like I give ken,:dizzy: a call.

I use the All Charge StayNCharge system. Have starter battery and 24volt system for my bow mount. One box and a couple of wires. Charges all 3 batteries off the outboard while running, off the truck alternator while driving home, then if I've really drained them, hook up my auto charger to the box and it tops off all 3. Been using this system for 3 yrs with no problems.

I ordered a Minn-Kota on-lin as well with the rebate offer, best accessory for my boat that I ever invested in. As soon as I come back in, I plug it in and leave it. It has over-charge protection, and very visible LEDs.
