Friday evening ended up being a blow out after the ride out to 200 fow. We set a few lines and boated 3 fish in 30-40 minutes and decided to try another day. Saturday dawned clear and flat and the fish cooperated. Finishing 20 for 27 in a half day trip. fish were 200-270 for the most part. They seemed to be in the top 20' or 70-170 down. Sunday was about half of saturday finishing 11 for 14 in slightly shallower water from 175-245. Again fish were either on top or deep for us.

That is great--excellent job. What was the mix? Mostly Kings & Steel?

Capt Paul.....:fish:
I was on the other boat Saturday with the bachelor party crew. We had one heck of a nice day weather wise and the fish cooperated pretty well, too. I am getting the pictures from the outing from some of the guys tomorrow, so I will get some posted. From what I heard from the guys on your boat you showed them a really nice time.

It was a two boat charter and KC-1 was the second boat for me. We are both out of Pointe Marine in North Muskegon. Addiction was out there too I think. By the sounds of it, everyone had a slaughter on Saturday

There was a pretty even mix on kings and lakers, with a few steelhead tossed on. One nice surprise was a beautiful steelhead fresh from the river (top row, 11th from the right).
The two biggest kings are 1st and 3rd in the bottom row. They went 12 and 11 lbs. You can get a judge on size from that.
Again, I had a great time. I would reccommend a trip out with either captain. :fish:

Sorry Paul. Addiction did a bachler party trip on Saturday also. Just thought maybe they were on his boat.

The fish sure weren't hitting like that for us up north in the Onekama Shakedown tourney. A few boats did well, but for most it was a struggle. One group did weigh in an 18 lb king. That would of been a hog in 3 months.

the Salmonhead is a Northport Nailer boat with Protrolls and HorseFlies as well. KC-1 is a stinger boat and also uses ProTroll and Rapture Flies. I have a detailed catch report on my website with all the lures that we took fish on. I can't list it here, but someone else could.

Been lots of bachelor parties this year for trips. KC-1 had another one on Sunday and I have had a couple others this year already too. Its a great reason to get on the water.
