has anybody purchased their ramp sticker for the 10th. street boat launch? If so, where did you go to get it? Also, what is the method to pay if you don't want a yearly sticker? Thank you for any and all info.

Not that bad, since my fishing crew bought mine. :)

The daily launch fee is $6. Seasonal permits are available for $24 and may be purchased Monday through Friday at the city of Port Huron Treasurer’s Office at 100 McMorran Blvd., Port Huron.

Instructions for payment will be posted at each site. It is important that the daily launch fee receipt be clearly placed on the driver’s side on the dash board.

A seasonal permit or a daily launch fee receipt is required for the use of these facilities from May 1 through Oct. 31

Thanks for the info. If we sportsmen have to buy anymore stickers to be placed on our windshields, we won't be able to see out of them. And I wish that were a joke.

Is there a fee now for that launch? And is this the one at the end of 12th street? Last year we never paid anything to launch there.

Supposedly it went into effect the saturday before Memorial Day. Another problem, although minor, is probably going to take more money from my pocket. I have to drive to Port Huron during working hours to purchase the sticker, then drive home to Lexington. Thats another 10 bucks for gas. If I want to fish early, I would have to pay the $6.00 ramp fee and get the sticker when I'm done, making the sticker price $30.00. And then some Port Huron representative say's if they got boats they can afford it. that is about as assinine a statement I have heard in a very long time.

cadets can't writes tickets. but the police wil be the one writing the tickets. cadets are not certified police officers, so all they can do isd to call the police.

Going to the Michigan baseball game today, so I'll be passing by where they sell the sticker, and pick mine up. Made a call to find out their hours, was told 8:00 to 4:30. Wonder if the parking lot will be loaded as in the past?

this thought just popped into my head. As of now I have paid $78.00 for launch stickers. this does not include the places such as Marysville, St. Claire, Harbor beach and such city or village owned launches. Maybe the state could get involved (like they do in a lot of cases) and charge a flat rate for the year and be done with it. They could then dole out monies to the city's and villages of privatly owned launches. I'm not saying it's a good idea, just a thought. I realize that license plates money is all state money, but they put a flat rate on trailer plates. did not like it at the time, still don't, but now it's over and done with and is not a concern anymore. (unless they decide to change it again)

You do not have to be a certified peace officer to write parking tickets...just raise your hand and say the oath is normally all that is required.
