Made one drift jigging and had to hurry and get in line for whippng last night. There was a ton of whippers last night. Set up just north of the campground in 22 fow and whipped from 830-1130 whith nothing happening. Didnt hear any action around us. The island and point where the channels split looked like a xmas tree! was a nice night though! Anyone find any out there last night? I thought theyd be on the bite for sure with the front coming in!

Fished north of the marysville power plant, near Lincoln park from 8 to 10:30 and got zip. Talked to a couple of guys at the launch and they got zip as well. I thought for sure it would be a great night. Maybe I should start later and stay later. Not really sure, but all know is I'm getting tired of coming home without any fish. I've tried fishing mornings, fishing in the evenings, jigging, pulling harnesses, whipping and have yet to land a flippin fish. I must not be living right. I tell ya if this lasts much longer, I'm selling the blasted boat!

Got out there early, early Saturday morning and whipped with IFN until dawn. Very slow for us too, only picked up one fish...on the middle plug.

Slick,
Do you pull spoons or body baits on your hand lines? Any reason not to pull harnesses at night rather than whipping?

I run small body baits Rapalas at night spoons during the day, you can run spinners but it's a diffrent type made just for handlining.. there are no set rules to handlining, spoons, peanuts, pencil plugs, spinners run what ever catches fish for you at the moment.. I would go tonight but I wanna watch the wings and tuesday has a lot less wind at 1am in the morning.. Cya Slick

Hey Stkbow, I was out there last night-probably seen ya! A lot of fisherman, hardly any fish biting! Me and my brother caught 3 walleyes and 1 white bass. First time I ever seen a white bass caught!! We were in a very good spot and should have done better! Had one miss also. The two I caught weren't hooked well. It was a night of changing lures with no luck! Don't sell the boat! Just hit it wrong last night-the wind didn't help either! According to the Coast Guard, the wind blew the strongest from 9:30-11:00! Very discouraging when the wind picks up at prime time!!!!!
