We went out Saturday morning to fish for walleye had no luck. So we went down to some of the marina walls to fish for bass. We caught alot of bass and as I was reeling in a smallmouth bass a huge muskie came up and took my bass. My rod went down and I fought the fish for about 5 minutes got to the boat and my brother tried to net it but our net wasn't even big enough to net it. The muskie fell out of the net and let go of the smallmouth. I still had the smallmouth on my line about 10 feet of line out and the muskie turn and took the smallmouth again and my pole bent and drag started to rip out again. I fought the muskie about 10 minutes got it back to the boat and my brother tried to net it again this time he got half of the fish in the net tried to bring it in the boat and the net snap in half from the weight and the muskie spit out the bass and they both were free. I only had 6 lb fire line and this muskie was an easy 50" and i really don't know about the weight but my brother said the net snap well before he had the fish out of the water. I always of heard of stuff like this but it's totally different when it happens to you.
