Whipping, 5/23/08

Went ot @ 2:30PM. Fished Nunelys hole in Algonac. We were out in my buddys speed boat 21 feet long. We got treated like city folks from a few fisherman. Just an FYI Don't judge someone by the boat. I spent the last 25 years fishing out there. I have been hand-lining or jigging. Have not whipped in a few years.
Anyhow, Did not even get a hit. Strong North wind. We left early beacause I had surgery last week and I was not feeling well.

Oh. The Coast Guard boarded are boat, theye were kool & just doing there job's. We seen the Sheriff also. Did anyone see the DNR? I assume theye were out there also sence it was a holiday weekend.

Hope you fisherman did better than we did.:(

I used to whip on my 23 FT Baja, it sure turned heads when it start up for home with a limit!!:D I think they caught on & just started thinking it was a Lund!!:lol:

We got one late Friday night...well more like Saturday morning at 3 a.m. (22"-23")

Picked up two Friday night late around 11:30. Lost one other at boat. Guy near us caught a large salmon while whipping. Broke his rod and reel. He gave us the fish and he was pissed about his rod/reel.
