After spending a few hundred dollars on various fishing gear, can't wait to get out. Even though its been catch and release for sometime now, still not the same. Also it suppose to be a little warmer this weekend.

So who's all going out tomorrow?

Canoe hits the water at 6:30 am tomorrow to head out to a very secluded little lake that produced great last year. Can't wait, my 6 year old can't wait to get out either. Bring on the warm temps.

I'm letting all the fudgies play on the water all weekend while I work . Then taking 4 days off to fish 6 different lakes when there is nooooooo one out there. I'll think of all of you slaving away missing out on beauTTTTTTiful weather.:D:D:D:D:D:D

So how'd everyone do?

Diane and I fished the Escanaba River after closing the shop Saturday night. She didn't quite have the touch this trip and didn't land any fish, but she did a good job netting and taking a couple pics for me. Went 5 for 9 on smallies. All on assorted "senkos." Hot color this trip was an ugly yellow/orange swirl pattern I got form Bass Pro this winter. I knew it would work in that dark water. Two best fish of the night were both in the 18 to 19 inch range. Tons of fun!:D
