Fishers of Men Bass Tournament Saginaw Bay 5/24/08

Hey guys and gals,
Fishers of men Bass tournament is this saturday out of the Augres DNR ramp. Team event but you can fish alone, 5 bass limit. The bay has been off limits all week until the friday practice day (tomorrow), but with the rough water I don't think anyone made it out. Look like were already at 20-25 boats so it should be a good payout. You have to register at the friday meeting, they do not accept entires at the ramp. See mifom dot com for more details.

22.86lbs won it with a 5.73lb Smallie as the big bass. Wow!!! I only had 19lbs but did have a nice 5.61lb smallie in the bag. We had a pre-spawn big fish pattern going but only got two but they were monsters. Had to head shallow and fill out the limit with some bedding males. The fish are a little behind schedule, sunday and monday the fishing just got better, more fish are pulling up on beds. A big wave of fish is due to hit the charitys some time this week. The Dakota Sports Open this weekend should be a shoot out.
