Holloway Reservoir 5/22 Walleye question?

Hello everyone, I’m going to try the Holloway Reservoir tomorrow (5/22) for the first time and would like some tips on fishing for walleye. I’m not asking for secret spots or anything like that just a little info. on where to start… baits, speed ect.

Take Your Hot-n-tots, and troll main lake flats around 1.5mph. Good luck, C-man

This may be a little late, but I always use slip sinkers and crawler harnesses, long line them back and troll slow as you need to to keep just in contact with bottom. good luck.

Thanks for the help/suggestions. I did pretty well. I went out Thursday and Friday and got my limit both days. Used Hot-N-Tots to find them then jigged gulp to get my limit.

Will be out again next week too.

I'm also going to fish Holloway for the first time this weekend, and would appreciate any tips.
What part of the resevoir did you end up finding the best action? Was any particular depth best? Did the 1.5MPH end up being a good speed? How far back were you running the tots?

When you went to vertical jigging what size jig did you use? What depth? What type of gulp?

Hello Fishunter, Hope this isn’t to late… I have been doing very good fishing the main lake. Tots 1.5mph between 50 and 100 foot back, and .5 oz. Jig heads with 4-inch rainbow Gulp.

Thanks for the help. It was beneficial. Caught fish on Tots and Crawler Harness on bouncers west of Goose Point in 10 - 12 FOW. More fish and bigger fish came east of the point this day.

Glad to hear You got on the 'Eyeballs ! How were the GoFasts & the PWCs ? They usually drive Me nuts after Memorial weekend - I call it combat fishing:lol:. C-man
