I was cleaning a rockbass the other day, and found a little painted turtle in its stomach.I caught one 10 years, and it had 1 in it too.Just curious if anyone else has found any in a fish.

no offense to roadkill, but with a nickname like that, why is anyone surprised he eats rock bass?

Yeah they taste like bluegill, but I can't do it. Its like eating a family member.

Exactly.....no self respecting bluegill eater would throw a Rockbass fillet in the same fry oil!!! Ist bite bluegill, 2nd bite bluegill, 3rd bite rubber innertube, 4th bite bluegill. No thanks on the Rockbass. Fun to catch though sense they are very aggressive and wil lhit/eat anything they can get in their mouth.

I have not seen that ever, I think they are comparable eating to all other panfish, i.e., bluegill, specs, etc. (rock bass, not the turtle)

Just fillet it, soak it in milk for 10 minutes and cook it however you want. It's not bad at all. I caught a Rock Bass with a garter snake in it's stomach before.
