Finally got out this weekend to do some serious fishing. I had a new rod and reel combo that was screaming at me to try it out.

Great afternoon out on a sw trib. I think I caught a dozen or so smallies all together, and 2 pike which are always welcome. I didn't feel like pressing my luck with my wife's camera in mid stream so I only took a few pictures.
No crawdads yet so I was using tiny flukes and curly tails on shakeyheads.
I saw a lot of bigger fish but couldn't get them to bite. I'm assuming they were females, as they certainly weren't impressed by me.
